How to cancel your Rcx Cable service

Summary

Most residential services are month to month. You can cancel at any time. If you have a term plan your order or promotional documents control any early termination fee. Equipment must be returned in good working condition within the stated window to avoid fees. Proration for unused days may apply based on your plan and the rules in your area.

Home Phone uses VoIP. If you plan to keep your telephone number, submit a port to the new provider before you cancel. Cancelling early can cause permanent loss of the number.

Scope

This policy covers consumer services purchased directly from Rcx Cable. If you ordered through a third party retailer the retailer policy may apply to your initial payment. Business accounts follow the service schedule in the business agreement.

How to cancel

  2. Choose the service you want to cancel and select a date. Same day requests are often available
  3. Confirm your contact email and preferred phone so we can send return instructions
  4. Write down the confirmation number. You will also receive an email
  5. Return equipment using the prepaid label or complete a tech pickup if scheduled

Tips before you cancel
  • Run a speed test and contact support if you are cancelling due to performance. We can often fix issues fast
  • Consider a seasonal hold for up to a few months if you are traveling. Holding service can be cheaper than cancelling and reconnecting
  • For Home Phone, start the number port with the new provider first. Wait for a port complete notice before you finalize cancellation

Special situations

If you are moving within our service area we can transfer service to the new address. If the new address is not serviceable we cancel and follow the rules in this policy. Equipment may change at the new location.

We can close the account at no charge with a copy of the death certificate or legal documentation. We help with number transfer for Home Phone when possible.

Active duty customers may qualify for special cancellation or hold options. Contact support and provide deployment orders so we can review available choices.

Apps and channels purchased from third parties follow the provider policy. You must cancel those directly with the provider. Charges from third parties can continue after you cancel Rcx Cable unless you cancel them with the provider.
