Refunds and bill credits at Rcx Cable

This page explains when refunds apply, how credits work, and what to expect after you submit a request. It applies to Rcx Cable Internet, Cable TV, and Home Phone services.

Summary

Rcx Cable issues refunds when you are billed in error or when a cancellation qualifies for a refund under your offer. For most service issues we provide bill credits instead of refunds. Credits reduce your next invoice. Refunds return money to your original payment method when possible.

Equipment fees and deposits are refunded after we receive equipment in good working condition. Use our return label to track the package.

Scope

This policy covers consumer services purchased directly from Rcx Cable. If you ordered through a third party retailer the retailer policy may apply to your initial payment. For business accounts see your service schedule.

Eligibility for refunds

Examples below describe common cases. Your order confirmation and Terms and Conditions control if they differ.

Eligibility can vary by promotion or state law. Proof of payment and account verification may be required.

Non refundable charges

Credits for outages or issues

When service is unavailable due to a network outage you may qualify for a time based credit. We calculate credits from the time a qualifying outage begins until the time service is restored.

What qualifies
  • Network outage confirmed by Rcx Cable
  • Outage that lasts beyond a reasonable restoration time in your area
  • Customer equipment was powered and connected during the period
What does not qualify
  • Issues caused by customer owned wiring or devices
  • Power outages at the premises without battery backup
  • Scheduled maintenance with prior notice where practicable

Credits appear on the next invoice after verification. Credits are not cash refunds.

Equipment returns and deposits

Return leased equipment in good working condition within the stated window to avoid fees. Use the prepaid label we provide so the package is tracked to your account.

How to request a refund

  1. Sign in to your account and review recent bills for the charge you want to dispute
  2. Collect details. Date and amount charged, payment method, and any ticket numbers
  3. Contact us by phone, chat, or email within the dispute period printed on your bill
  4. We review your account and may request proof of payment if needed
  5. We confirm approval and the method. Refund or bill credit

For credit card disputes we recommend contacting us first. Chargebacks can slow resolution and may lead to service suspension while a bank investigation is pending.

Special situations

Promotional credits and free trials convert to standard rates at the end of the term unless you change or cancel. Promotional gift cards are not refundable and may have separate issuer terms.

Some states provide additional cancellation or refund rights. We honor rights that apply to you. See the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for state notices and definitions.

Home Phone uses VoIP. If power or broadband is unavailable calls including 911 will not complete unless you have battery backup. We do not provide refunds for outages caused by loss of power at the premises.

Apps and channels purchased from third parties follow the provider policy. Contact the provider for cancellations and refunds on those products.
